Guacamole!

MY GIRLS AND I TOOK A TRIP TO WEST ELM SATURDAY! WE ABSOLUTELY FELL IN LOVE WITH THE STORE! IT WAS OUR FIRST TIME GOING AND I HAVE TO SAY, THE ENVIRONMENT IS AMAZING! FROM THE OUTSIDE LOOKING IN, IT LOOKS LIKE A VERY HIGH END HOME FURNISHING STORE, BUT THE PRICES ARE REASONABLE, AND THEY HAVE ITEMS THAT YOU WOUDLN’T FIND ANYWHERE ELSE. WEST ELM IS KIND OF LIKE A BETTER PIER 1! LOL

SO ANYWAY, WE PERUSED THE STORE AND THEY HAVE SOME INTERESTING, ECLECTIC FINDS. SO TO TOP OFF WEST ELM’S AMAZING STORE THEY STARTED MAKING GUACAMOLE! HERES THE RECIPE.

PLEASE READ TIPS BEFORE STARTING RECIPE

INGREDIENTS:

4 AVACADO’S

2 SLICES OF PURPLE ONION (CHOPPED)

1 ROMA TOMATO (CHOPPED)

JUICE OF ONE LIME

1 JALAPENO (SEEDED)

1 CLOVE OF GARLIC

1/2 TO A WHOLE BUNCH OF CILANTRO CHOPPED (DEPENDING ON YOUR PREFERENCE)

SALT TO TASTE

DIRECTIONS:

1 CUT AVACADO IN HALF (LONG WAY) REMOVE SEED (BUT DO NOT DISCARD). CUT AVACADO INTO CUBES WHILE STILL IN SKIN

2 REMOVE AVACADO FROM SKIN AND MASH TO DESIRED CONSISTANCY OR ROUGHLY MASH FOR MORE CHEW

3  ADD REMAINING INGREDIENTS AND ENJOY

TIPS:

DON’T FORGET TO DROP THE SEED IN TO KEEP IT FROM BROWNING

PUT ON SOME GLOVES BEFORE CHOPPING JALAPENO (I BET ROTEL WOULD BE A GOOD SUBSTITUTE FOR THE  JALAPENO AND TOMATO)!
